On the 8th of April a group of students from Mykolas Romeris University, Vilnius University and other Lithuanian universities started a tour to Russian Federation. The former capital of imperial Russia, Saint Petersburg, was the first stop. There we visited the most famous cathedrals, museums, memorials reminding about the long siege during World War 2, Winter Palace and Hermitage museum. As additional entertainments there were a folk show “Feel yourself Russian” and Limousine tour “St.Petersburg by night”, that helped us to feel Russian spirit.
The next stop we made was famous Tsarskoye Selo – former country residence of the Russian Royalty. We enjoyed the guided excursion in Catherine’s Palace and park. After the visit to the palace, we continued with a bus ride through Russian countryside to historical Veliky Novgorod - one of the most ancient cities in Russia. There we had a great time to explore the city and to know more about Russian history.
After visiting Veliky Novgorod we started the day with the bus ride to the capital of Russia - Moscow. We were so excited to see this huge city. During the guided tour of Moscow we passed by all the city’s must-see highlights (Red Square, St. Basil's Cathedral, Bolshoy Theater, Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Sparrow Hills, Kremlin, Old and New Arbat Streets, etc). During the free time students had a time for their own activities: visiting of museums, Tretyakov Gallery, exploring the streets of capital or joining Metro Tour. On 15th of April we arrived to Vilnius happy, satisfied and full of unforgettable moments.
